garden harvest

Ichiban eggplants, pimento peppers, yellow Amish pear tomatoes and some dwindling Romas that had ripened in the windowsill.

I planted Mountain Climbers pole beans yesterday. The Kentucky Wonder brown seeded beans are starting to germinate. The sweet corn and Sisco beans are just barely starting to germinate. The first field corn experiment in the fenced garden is about knee-high, and the second experiment is about four inches tall. Esme's kidney beans are vigorous... looks like they'll do something. The sorghum that was white seeded the other day is turning to a pretty raw sienna.. which is heartening.
