The Birdwatchers Stay Home

A note from Willowpede and Sally-Mander...
Did you hear? She didn't take us to work,
and she promised!
We had to stay home and watch birds because
J stayed home and fought with some large piece of computer equipment.
We bothered him all day though, so that was fun!

I'm back in the groove -- I had a busy day, post office and library, shopping and work, then back home to make dinner. I'm getting my pal's box together too -- have a few little items to make as bonuses :o)

More progress on the sock, I'm trying hard not to put this aside anytime soon. Chris saw through my evil plan to let this sock be for May and June... *whistles*.. it might be true, sad enough. I do have a pronounced tendency to let my sewing overtake my knitting.

On to making those bonuses! (Tricia, your bear is on her way! you should get an email today)

Movie tonight:Kate and Leopold (I am such a girl... I kept apologizing to J for this rental...) - I am such a sucker for these sort of movies.

I can't even begin to do justice to the chopstick rests that Tasha McKelvey (blog) made for me as a custom order on Etsy! You might remember I mentioned something last month about them... Click here to see her close-up shots that show their detail much better than my camera can. I am so happy with them!!! They are for our anniversary dinner next month :o)

She also sent an orange Etsy pin which I will wear on my jacket with pride! Oolong tea came from Adagio's tea-chef today, and I sampled it at work while I coded HTML. (yes, I WENT to WORK today -- although I stayed at the workshop the whole day)

I need to get started on Carrie K's sloth soon -- now that I am feeling somewhat more alive. My lungs aren't entirely clear yet - but the icky part is over, and I'm breathing much better than I have in a week.

Weird sense of humor when I'm sick...

I hope these don't offend anyone -- but I get a little weird when I'm sick. J and I laughed way too hard over the first one...

We went 'out' today - J said I needed it.. these are out on Perry School Road near McKenzie, TN.


As long as I keep liquids in me - I can breathe... but it got bad for a while, when we were out, and I didn't have anything to drink. J felt so bad for me he got me a coffee and a peppermint blizzard. He is SO SWEET, really. Right now he is cleaning out the refrigerator just in case there is anything in there that could make me worse. **hugs the guy**

Am I feeling any better?

But first a little camera play

The cats love the 'new' rugs I found in a moving box, washed up, and spread out in the kitchen of our OLD duplex (can you tell by the linoleum?) They love to go sliding on them already.

Willow wants to play, Sally isn't too ethused about it
She looks a little scruffy because she just woke up.
So Willow plays with me ;o)

Well, no I'm not feeling much better -- but I'm still here, I can breathe and I'm mobile. It's worse the hour after I get up -- all that time to settle down into my lungs... I could go into a doctor on Monday, but since I've had pneumonia 3+ times, they are loathe to give me antibiotics until I'm coughing up blood or fail that 'finger oxygen' test :o( :o( But the antibiotics usually clear everything up once I get to that point.. *sighs* 'Can't give antibiotics until a last resort, in case you develop a resistance to them..etc etc'

This is why I'm big into trying to kick it in the butt while I still can. I've been telecommuting, not because I'm too sick to drive, but because there is someone at work with emphysema who cannot afford under any circumstances to catch this -- and its best all around if I do work from home until I'm better.

So I'll knit socks and drink lots of tea...

I made the girls new bowtie mice today (the first they've had in a month) -- they instantly started fighting over the pink one!
