Life With Catahoulas number 3 webcomic

Honey?  I think it's really cold outside.
How can you tell?
It's just a hunch.....

Life with Catahoulas.. and a German Shepherd puppy, and cats.... everyone on the couch!
Help support our dog crew by investing in some of their favorite toys for yours!

The Kong toys are the best thing ever, they bounce and you can put treats inside to keep your dog occupied.  You can even put frozen ice cubes in them in the summer for a very special treat!

Rex and his adopted mom and aunt

Can you tell that Minerva is his adopted Mom?  They have been chewing up the blankets this winter and Rex seems to think that all the toys belong right next to Mom's butt.  I have a cartoon almost ready for Monday for the comic strip - tune back then and see it :)

Rex loves! He ate several of the pretzels as a puppy and now carries his dumb-bell toy everywhere as his 'happy thing'. The Kongs are the very best - they bounce and can be carried and dropped down the stairs to great effect. If you have an aggressive nervous chewer the Kongs are really the best thing ever!

full speed Catahoula leopard dogs

Catahoulas go full speed.  They jump, they play, they lick each other's ears and then go after each other to lick them back. I caught a whirlwind spin with four of ours at the top of the stairs today.  Then they all acted like it didn't happen and no, who?  us?  We're dignified.  Really.  We are.

Now we have a water heater to fix... the human ones of us, that is.

bits

This is Liz, Esme's new teddy bear hamster.
She came from the Fish Tank store in Paris, TN - and she is very tame.

Unlike other things in our household.  No wonder the pies keep disappearing!

And this is Freckles, who doesn't get enough 'airtime'... and was being cute
waiting for a treat in the kitchen.

Esme is still sick.  She threw up again tonight but mostly from coughing after eating.  We've kept her home all week and will keep her home tomorrow, too.  Maybe Monday.

I planted a daffodil in the garden today, too - a white daffodil with pink middles.  I was very surprised to find them for sale, so I had to get one!  I put it in the garden next to the hyacinths.
