About two miles from work. Cotton grows all over the place here, and sometimes we get to see the big machines out baling it. I'd love to have had a camera with me when they were baling this field last week. Maybe I'll still catch it before the season is over.

I don't think I have ever seen cotton like that before! I am from the northeast. Thanks for the beautiful picture.
(I found your blog through iwasknittogetherinmymotherswomb and I love it! Your kitties are so adorable.
I love your photos of TN. That is beautiful!
I can't get over cotton growing everywhere like that. Very strange to this northerner!
I have never seen cotton on the plant before either.
The best I have seen is the raw bales.
I used to go to a depot in Loredo Texas to process our loads for Mexico.
One day I spent the afternoon hanging out in the warehouse and another trucker showed me his load of raw cotton which was going to Mexico to be cleaned and karded.
The cotton was still dirty with bits of plant stuck in the bales.
He explained to me the whole process. I was amazed. Canada does not have cotton, that I know of.
neat pictures. I used to love traveling through the South each winter and watching the cotton harvests.
