Calling in Sick

I've been down with a sore throat since Tuesday night and yesterday afternoon it escalated into a full head cold. I can barely talk and my nose won't stop running. I've called into work, which I hate doing because they have such a strict absences rule -- but I also hate it when I go to a store and someone is working sick. I think that is where I got it. Monday we were out and I remember a clerk who after she gave us our bags started hacking and coughing on the counter. I felt a shiver and a 'I wish I had seen that before - I wouldn't have come over to you' feeling - but it was already done.

Mark says he'll go out and get me some medicine because what I've been trying yesterday has been helpful but not enough.

I hope Esme doesn't get it!
