The original KnitOwl on the Internet since 1997 I am a thirty-something mom of one beautiful little girl. I love making handmade things and sewing vintage patterns. I have recently taken a deep interest in heirloom seed saving. Here you will find pictures of past and present projects and our life in general.

So cute and sweet!! She's growing so fast.
I'm curious, how did the cloth diapers you made work out?
She is the cutest baby!
I love the look on her face in the baby/daddy picture. It is like she's trying to make an important point.
rhiannon: They were only good for moments I was sure she was going to 'explode' again fairly soon and didn't want to keep changing disposable after disposable. They soaked through quickly but maybe I didn't use the right type of inner layer.
There was a lot of 'frequent subsequent explosions' in the first few weeks, so the diapers I made actually did come in handy then. I don't use them at all anymore.
I read that when they are newborns it is frequency not quantity. Much agreed!
Look at those cute toes! She's pretty intent on her rattle.
