keeping at it
Keeping at it, much better behavior for Esme than she had last week - and she is making a big effort not to do the things we discussed about. Her new speech teacher got in contact with me, it sounds like we can mesh well to get some goals put together. She wants a warming up period first to get a good survey of Esme's speech - absolutely... we can both come to the table then with a good understanding. I am very glad her school is willing, at least for now, to look a little deeper than surface behavior for her - the teacher had another talk about how it feels to be good, and how it feels to be bad, and being 'good' to feel good for everyone. In a bit we will go see Esme's friend, who has had her own trial with this during the week, and got a 'better behavior' turnaround towards the end of last week, too. Her parents and I talked about how it is feeling odd that we as full grown adults are focusing so much on happy faces *giggle*... but yes, it makes it all much better when we know they can understand, learn and be positive while at school and we are at work etc... every parent wants their kid in a good environment while they are away, and the child and their behavior is part of the environment of the classroom, too etc. etc.. //end rant
